Since coming aboard in 1979 as a junior architect, Michele has been a vital force in the firm’s growth. In 1993 she became a principal and instituted numerous initiatives that have advanced BGA’s fortunes.
In 2008, Michele led the acquisition of LMG Architects. Two years later, she assumed the role of BGA president and majority shareholder. Under her leadership, the firm was certified as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) in 2011. In 2014 the name was changed to Boddewyn Gaynor Architects, d.p.c.
Michele routinely demonstrates her ability to mobilize and command BGA teams for projects of all sizes and complexities. In addition to her talent for refining and executing design work, she’s known for her responsive, ‘can-do’ attitude and her gift for communicating well with clients and colleagues. She earns her clients’ trust by guiding each one toward a solution that is attractive, functional, on-time, and on-budget. And she possesses an unshakeable commitment to protect her clients’ interests, above all.
Michele and BGA founder Alan Gaynor combine their individual, yet complementary talents to create designs that speak to the distinct needs of each of their clients.
Community Service
A strong proponent of literacy, Michele is president of the Friends of the Library in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, where she contributes much of her energy and organizational skills.
